Moraga Refresh

The landscape design for this home in Moraga’s Campolindo neighborhood took a decades-old yard and updated it with a cleaner modern look and new water-conserving plantings.  Working with existing walls and swimming pool, the backyard space was simplified by removing shrubs and trees to create a larger lawn for the kids.  New drought-tolerant plants in large groups were used to reinforce the edges, and some walls and paving were replaced to help de-clutter and unify the garden.  In the front yard new life was given to existing brick planters with consistent plantings along the edges that also provide seasonal color and texture variety.  The garden now has a fresh new look to last for years to come.  Below are a few photos comparing the garden before and after the new design was installed.
